Stevenson-Carson School District's Curriculum Structure:

The curriculum administrator coordinates curriculum revision and implementation for the district. Curriculum committee chairs for the four main academic areas complete the following duties as necessary.

Each committee's main purpose is to review and revise curriculum and instruction as necessary based on state requirements and district needs.

  • Develop agendas, gather necessary materials and facilitate all committee meetings.
  • Complete necessary follow-up activities.
  • Report to and advise curriculum administrator.
  • Organize materials for the adoption process.
  • Stay up to date on state reform efforts and requirements in specific curriculum areas.
  • Recommend materials adoption to the Student Learning Improvement Committee, which then recommends to the Board.

  1. Read with comprehension, write with skill, and communicate effectively and responsibly in a variety of ways and setting.
