The Stevenson-Carson School District’s Long Range Facilities
Planning Committee is in the process of developing a plan for the district’s
facilities and seek your input. At this point, the committee has narrowed
the focus down to utilizing three campuses for our students. Currently,
the committee is exploring Stevenson High School (grades 9-12) remaining at its
current location with renovations. The configuration of the remaining
students in the district will be PreK – 5 campus (exploring the current SES
building with additional space added OR utilizing the WREC in Carson with
additional space) and a 6-8 campus (utilizing the WREC in Carson OR exploring
the current SES building with a gym remodel and potentially other
modifications). Any configuration of the three campuses will require
building and renovation and will be accomplished over time as financing
allows. The answers to the following questions will help guide the Long
Range Facility Planning Committee as they explore, research and discuss the
best option for the district in the long term. Along the way, the
committee will continue to seek input through future Round Tables, open houses,
symposiums and surveys. Your thoughts and ideas are very important in the
conversation as we move forward in this preliminary phase of the plan.
