Welcome

Ingrid ColvardA Message from the Superintendent

I am honored and grateful to have the opportunity to serve the Stevenson-Carson community as your superintendent. The collective dedication to making sure all students thrive is what makes it clear that together, we can set common goals and make a world-class education a reality for every child. Learning that is relevant inspires curiosity and motivates striving for excellence. Nurturing the continuing growth of the students and adults in our learning communities will support moving our school system forward toward high achievement and preparing students for the future.

My husband of nearly 33 years and I moved here in June, and already feel very welcomed by our new neighbors and acquaintances. We have two grown daughters who visit often and they bring us much joy. I know what a privilege it is to be part of the team that educates the children in our community, as I wish for all children what we hoped for our own. For this reason, I am committed to a school experience that supports the whole child, founded on relationships that are supportive and positive. We must focus on developing character as well as intellect in an environment that is both physically and emotionally safe.

I am joining the community and the Stevenson-Carson School District team during unprecedented times. It will take all of us coming together to navigate the uncertainties of the future while providing the education all children deserve. I ask for your engagement, partnership, and grace as we chart our next steps. I am full of hope and optimism as we begin this journey and welcome your involvement. Together, there is nothing we can’t accomplish!

Best Regards,

Ingrid Colvard
